Read this first — the short version. AI STEP is a subscription web service that teaches you how to earn with the help of AI. Payments are taken directly by us through WayForPay (a Ukrainian acquirer, Visa/Mastercard) — not through the App Store or Google Play. That means we handle refunds ourselves: there is no platform in the middle, and no one can hide behind "ask the store". If you paid within the last 14 days and you have not consumed a substantial part of the content, write to support@aistep.app and we refund you — we will not interrogate you about your reasons.
This Policy is written for users in the EEA and other countries and forms part of our Terms of Service. It is governed by the law of Ukraine (in particular the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Consumer Rights" and the Law of Ukraine "On Electronic Commerce"). If you are in the EEA or the UK, the GDPR additionally applies to how we handle the personal data involved in a refund request. The Ukrainian-language version of this document is the legally prevailing one; this English text is provided for convenience.
The service is intended for persons 18 years old and over.
1.1. You are buying time-limited access to a digital service — an online subscription — and not a physical product, not a file you download and keep, and not a licence you own forever. Nothing is shipped, so there is nothing to return; a refund here means giving your money back and switching your access off.
1.2. What the subscription unlocks: the learning programmes (3 programmes, 16 courses, 64 lessons, each lesson built as text → practice → quiz), completion certificates, the AI Mentor chat, the AI tools (ready-made prompts for a post, an e-mail, a content plan and similar tasks), and your progress and streak tracking.
1.3. The first course of the flagship programme is free. You can read real lessons, take real quizzes and try the product before you pay anything. We recommend using it — it is the cheapest possible way to find out whether AI STEP suits you.
1.4. No income guarantee. AI STEP is an educational product. We teach skills and we do not guarantee any income, earnings, sales, clients or employment. Your result depends on your own effort, your skill level and the market. Because of this, "I did not earn money" is not a defect of the service — but it is also not a reason for us to refuse you a refund inside the 14-day window described in section 2, where no reasons are required at all.
1.5. About the AI features. The AI Mentor and the AI tools produce automatically generated answers. They can be inaccurate, outdated or simply invented. Verify anything important before you act on it. The AI does not provide medical, legal or financial advice, and you should not rely on it for decisions that affect other people. This is a known and disclosed property of generative AI, not a malfunction — outages and genuine technical faults are covered separately in section 9.
1.6. Certificates. A certificate in AI STEP is an internal service badge confirming that you completed a course inside our product. It is not a state-recognised diploma and not an accredited qualification. Do not buy the subscription expecting an accredited document.
1.7. Prices, plans and what auto-renewal means are fully disclosed to you on the payment screen before you pay — the amount, the currency (Ukrainian hryvnia, ₴), the billing period and the fact that the subscription renews automatically.
| Plan | Promotional price | Regular price | Billing cycle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trial access | ₴149 | — | 3 days, then auto-renews at the plan rate shown to you before payment |
| Weekly | ₴499 | ₴699 | every 7 days |
| Monthly | ₴1349 | ₴1899 | every month |
| Annual | ₴2999 | ₴5999 | every 12 months |
1.8. Discounts are real. A promotional price runs to a genuine deadline; the discount wheel gives a genuinely random 5–30% and the value you win is actually applied to your payment; a final offer may be shown if you decide to leave. A refund always returns the amount you were actually charged, not a list price — if you paid ₴2999, you get ₴2999 back.
2.1. Within 14 calendar days of the date of a payment, you may ask us for a full refund of that payment, and we will grant it on request, without asking you to justify or explain your decision, provided you have not consumed a substantial part of the paid content (see 2.3).
2.2. We give this 14-day window voluntarily, as our own commitment, because we would rather have a fair parting than an unhappy subscriber. It is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer under the law of Ukraine and, where applicable, your local consumer-protection rules — this Policy never reduces them. After the 14 days have passed, refunds are handled according to those legal rules and sections 8, 9 and 10 below.
2.3. What counts as "a substantial part consumed". As a working benchmark, your access is treated as not substantially consumed if, since the payment:
2.4. These numbers are a benchmark, not a trap. If you are marginally over one of them, tell us and we will look at the actual picture. Where the case is borderline, we decide in the user's favour.
2.5. Each payment has its own 14-day window. A renewal payment is a new payment: if a renewal was charged and you no longer want the service, write to us within 14 days of that charge.
3.1. Trial access costs ₴149 and lasts 3 days from the moment the payment succeeds. During those 3 days you have the paid functionality of the service.
3.2. Auto-renewal after the trial. Unless you cancel, at the end of the 3 days the subscription renews automatically at the rate of the plan that was shown to you on the payment screen before you paid (see the table in 1.7). The plan, the amount and the renewal date are disclosed to you before the ₴149 is charged, and you can see them at any time in the "Subscription" section of the app.
3.3. How to avoid the charge. Cancel before the trial period ends — one tap in the "Subscription" section. Cancelling stops the upcoming charge; your trial access stays active until the end of the paid 3 days. We recommend cancelling at least a few hours before the renewal moment, so that the cancellation is registered before the payment is initiated.
3.4. The ₴149 trial payment is itself covered by section 2: if you want it back, you have 14 days from the date it was charged.
3.5. If a renewal was charged after the trial and you did not intend to continue, write to support@aistep.app — that renewal falls squarely inside the 14-day window in section 2 and we refund it.
4.1. Cancellation switches off future charges. A refund returns money already taken. They are separate actions, and you may need one, the other, or both.
4.2. How to cancel: open the app, go to "Subscription", and cancel — one tap. No phone calls, no explanatory letters, no retention interviews, no "contact support to cancel" maze.
4.3. After cancellation, your access remains active until the end of the period you already paid for — you do not lose the days you bought. No further payments are taken after that.
4.4. Cancelling does not automatically refund the current period. If you also want the money for the current period back, ask us: within the 14-day window under section 2 as of right, and otherwise under section 8.
4.5. If for any reason the one-tap cancellation does not work for you, write to support@aistep.app and we will cancel the subscription manually. A technical failure on our side will never be used to keep charging you.
5.1. Send an e-mail to support@aistep.app (subject line: "Refund"). Please include:
5.2. You do not need to send us your card number, the CVV, a photo of the card, or bank statements. We never ask for card details — we do not receive or store them (see section 6). Anyone asking you for a CVV in the name of AI STEP is not us.
5.3. Timeline:
| Step | Timeframe |
|---|---|
| We reply and confirm the outcome | up to 3 business days from receiving your request |
| We initiate the refund through WayForPay | immediately after we confirm the refund |
| Money is back on your card | up to 14 days, usually 3–5 banking days |
5.4. The final crediting of the money is executed by the payment provider and your card-issuing bank; the last leg of the timing is their processing speed, not ours. If the money has not arrived after 14 days, write to us and we will chase it with the acquirer and give you the transaction reference.
5.5. Data we use to process your request. To identify the payment we use your account e-mail, the payment date, amount, plan and status from your payment history, and we pass the necessary transaction identifiers to WayForPay to execute the refund. Account, subscription and payment-history data are stored in Supabase (EU hosting, Frankfurt). We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not share your refund correspondence with anyone who is not needed to process the refund. Details of how we handle personal data — including your GDPR rights if you are in the EEA or the UK — are in our Privacy Policy.
5.6. Refunds are made to the person who paid, into the same payment instrument. We cannot pay a refund to a third party's card.
6.1. A refund is always made by the same method you used to pay: the payment was taken by WayForPay from your Visa or Mastercard, so the refund goes back through WayForPay to that same card, in Ukrainian hryvnia (₴).
6.2. We do not refund in cash, in crypto, to another person's card, or as "store credit" instead of money — unless you yourself explicitly prefer an alternative we are able to offer (for example, extending your paid period instead of taking the money back).
6.3. We do not receive or store your card number or CVV. That data is processed by WayForPay. Technically this means we can send a refund back to the card used for the original transaction, but we cannot move money to any other destination.
6.4. If the card has been closed, expired or reissued since the payment, the refund is still initiated to that card: in most cases the issuing bank credits the money to the account behind it. If your bank returns the refund, contact us and we will look for a lawful alternative together with the acquirer.
6.5. We do not charge any fee, commission or "processing cost" for issuing a refund, and we do not deduct anything from the refunded amount. Currency-conversion differences applied by your own bank on a foreign-currency card are outside our control.
We would rather say yes than no. These are the cases where we decline:
7.1. The access has been fully used. The programme has been completed and/or the completion certificate (the internal service badge described in 1.6) has been issued for the paid content. At that point you received in full what you paid for.
7.2. Substantial consumption outside the free window. The 14 days have passed and you have worked through a substantial part of the paid content, and there is no fault on our side under sections 8–9.
7.3. Breach of the Terms of Service — in particular sharing or reselling account access, using one account for several people, circumventing payment or access restrictions, automated scraping or bulk extraction of lessons and prompts, or misuse of the AI features. In these cases the subscription may be terminated without a refund, in accordance with our Terms.
7.4. Repeated abuse of refunds — for example a pattern of subscribing, consuming content and requesting a refund, or a series of refunded accounts registered by the same person on different e-mail addresses. We may decline a further refund and refuse future subscriptions to that person.
7.5. Facts we can verify are misrepresented in the refund request (for example, a claim that the service was inaccessible when the logs show normal use).
7.6. Dissatisfaction with the outcome, not with the service — see 1.4: we do not guarantee income, and a lack of income after the 14-day window is not a defect. This clause never overrides sections 2, 8 or 9.
7.7. If we decline, we tell you why, in plain language, in writing, within the same 3 business days — and we tell you what you can do next (section 10, and your right to raise the matter with consumer-protection authorities or a court under the law of Ukraine or, where applicable, your local law).
8.1. General rule. Inside the 14-day window (section 2) you get a full refund of the payment. Outside it, subscription periods are not automatically pro-rated: if you cancel mid-period, you keep the access until the end of the paid period (clause 4.3) rather than receiving cash back for the unused days.
8.2. When we do pro-rate. If the service was unavailable through our fault for a meaningful part of a paid period, we refund proportionally to the affected time — or, at your choice, extend your paid period by an equivalent amount (see section 9).
8.3. By agreement. On long plans (annual in particular), if you cancel well into the period and none of the grounds above apply, write to us. We can agree a partial refund of the clearly unused remainder or another fair solution. This is a good-will mechanism: we look at how much of the content you actually consumed and at how long the paid period still has to run, and we tell you openly what we can offer.
8.4. A partial refund closes the subscription for the refunded remainder: after the refunded portion begins, access to the paid content ends.
8.5. If you received a discount (promotional price, discount wheel, final offer), a partial refund is calculated from the amount you actually paid, in proportion to the unused part of the period.
9.1. If AI STEP was not working through our fault — the service or a paid feature was unavailable, your progress was lost, payment was taken but access was not granted — we fix it, and then either extend your paid period by at least the affected time or refund the money, at your choice.
9.2. If a payment was taken twice for the same period, or the amount charged differs from the amount shown to you before payment, we refund the difference or the duplicate in full. This applies regardless of the 14-day window.
9.3. What is not an outage on our side: your own internet connection or device problems; restrictions imposed by your network or country; and the intrinsic limitations of generative AI described in 1.5 (an AI answer you consider unhelpful or wrong is not a service outage). Genuine unavailability of the AI Mentor or the AI tools, on the other hand, is covered by 9.1.
9.4. Report the problem to support@aistep.app with the approximate date and time and, if possible, a screenshot. This lets us match it against server-side records and settle the matter quickly.
10.1. You have the right to dispute a card transaction with your bank. We are not taking that right away — we are telling you honestly that it is faster and simpler to come to us first.
10.2. Why: we take the payment directly through WayForPay, so we can issue a refund ourselves as soon as we agree on it — normally 3–5 banking days on the card. A bank dispute is a formal procedure between banks and the acquirer: it typically takes weeks, involves paperwork and evidence from both sides, and its outcome is decided by the payment system, not by us or by you.
10.3. Our commitment: if your case falls under section 2, 8 or 9, we resolve it without any dispute — no waiting for a verdict, no evidence packages.
10.4. What happens if a chargeback is opened. When we receive notice of a dispute for a payment, access to the paid features is suspended until the matter is settled, because the same payment cannot simultaneously be under dispute and funding active access. We do not delete your account or your learning progress because of a dispute.
10.5. If a chargeback is opened for a payment we have already refunded (or are in the middle of refunding), let us know immediately so that the refund is not duplicated. Where a duplicate reaches you, we will ask you to return the excess amount.
10.6. Repeated chargebacks instead of contacting us are treated as abuse under 7.4 and may lead to refusal of future subscriptions.
11.1. Refunds, cancellations, billing questions, technical problems: support@aistep.app · {{ТЕЛЕФОН}}.
11.2. Seller and service provider: {{ФОП/ТОВ, ІПН/ЄДРПОУ, адреса}}.
11.3. We reply to a refund request within 3 business days and always in writing, so that you have a record of what we agreed.
11.4. Write from the e-mail address of your account where possible — it is the fastest way for us to identify the payment without asking you for extra personal data.
11.5. We do not require you to call anyone, submit a paper form, or explain yourself to a retention agent in order to cancel or to get a refund. One tap to cancel, one e-mail to be refunded.
12.1. This Policy is governed by the law of Ukraine. Nothing in it limits your mandatory consumer rights, including the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence if you are in the EEA or the UK.
12.2. The Ukrainian-language version prevails in the event of any discrepancy with this English translation.
12.3. We may update this Policy — for example if plans, prices or payment flows change. The current version is always published in the service with its effective date. Changes are not applied retroactively: a refund request is assessed under the version of this Policy that was in force on the date of your payment.
12.4. This Policy is read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where a refund question is not covered here, the Terms of Service and the law of Ukraine apply.
